Professional Experience

• 10 years experience defending complex professional malpractice and products liability litigation in over 30 jury trials.
• Represented agricultural lenders in bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy litigation.
• During the 1980's farm crisis in Wisconsin tightened its grip on the Wisconsin agricultural community, Peter accepted an invitation to become a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee and concentrate on bankruptcy and debtor/creditor litigation.
• Appointed in 1986, Chapter 7 Panel Trustee in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, administering thousands of cases in that capacity.
• Certified in both consumer bankruptcy law and business bankruptcy law by American Board of Certification in 1996, Recertified in 2001 and 2006.
• Extensive experience in debtor/creditor rights, secured and unsecured credit transactions, real estate and foreclosure.
• Clients include commercial and agricultural lenders, insurance companies and business entities, as well as individual debtors, creditors and Trustees.
• Served as a private Trustee/Receiver in complicated cases.
• Invited lecturer and faculty member at numerous Wisconsin State Bar CLE approved seminars, including those sponsored by the Wisconsin State Bar, the Western District of Wisconsin Bankruptcy Bar, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court-Western District of Wisconsin Clerk's Office and the United States Trustee's Office.
