Jaburg Wilk Attorneys and Local Girl Scout Troop Partner to Hold Winter Coat Drive for the Homeless
PHOENIX, Ariz. (11/22/2017) – Employees of the Phoenix law firm Jaburg Wilk gathered 50 coats to be distributed to the homeless. In addition to the coats, they also collected gloves, scarves, sweaters and other types of outdoor clothing. One of the firm’s employees is a Girl Scout Den Leader and her daughter is a Girl Scout. Her Girl Scout troop number 3346 collected more than 50 coats as well. Both the Girls Scouts and Jaburg Wilk employees helped move the coats into the donation center where they will be distributed to the homeless at CASS, Central Arizona Shelter Services.
Shranda Ceballos, a member of the Jaburg Wilk Charity Committee stated that, “CASS representatives were especially appreciative of the donation of men’s coats. Typically their clothing donations are for women and children and their need is greatest for men’s clothing. CASS said that the coats would be immediately put to good use.”
Central Arizona Shelter Services mission is to empower men, women and children with diverse needs to end their homelessness by providing shelter and supportive services. They have been helping our community’s most vulnerable, since 1984 by empowering them to not only end their homelessness but also to rebuild their lives.
