Lawrence “Larry” Wilk has spent over 30 years handling significant bankruptcy cases on behalf of trustees, creditors, debtors and has assisted thousands of investors in the recovery of significant monies invested through fraudulent schemes. His clients include banks, insurance companies, leasing companies, and private individuals with investments secured by real property, commercial equipment, accounts receivable, and intangible property.  Additionally, he has directly or indirectly represented the interests of both state and federal government agencies in governmental regulatory actions. 

  Professional Experience

  • Represents secured and/or unsecured creditors and trustees in bankruptcy; creditors and investors in state court proceedings and debtors in complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings
  • Experienced in negotiating workouts on behalf of lenders and borrowers in an effort to avoid the hardship and expense of bankruptcy
  • Numerous reported appellate cases in both state and bankruptcy proceedings
  • Conducted hundreds of judicial and non-judicial foreclosures as well as numerous forfeiture proceedings
  • Has played a pivotal role in obtaining recoveries in several of the largest land-fraud cases in Arizona, recovering millions of dollars for investors
  • Knowledgeable in title insurance and real estate issues 
  • Joined Jaburg Wilk in 1986 and has been a name partner for more than 25 years
  • Adjunct Professor at Arizona State University Law School focusing on foreclosure, receivership and the effects of bankruptcy
  • Fellow in Litigation Council of America
  • Past board member of Phoenix Regional Sports Commission
  • Past President and registered lobbyist for the Arizona Trustee's Association. Continues to remain an active participant in the association
