2026 Going to the Dogs

az humane society 2

Employees of Jaburg Wilk visited the South Campus of the Arizona Humane Society and spent the morning enriching the lives of several shelter dogs and participated in a Canine Play Date.  Because the weather was beautiful they, and the dogs, were able to spend the morning outside enjoying the grass and the great outdoor smells.  They chased, they played, they got some love and were able to enjoy some freedom.  Socialization and enrichment are so important to these shelter pups.

The Arizona Humane Society’s mission is clear.  To save the most vulnerable pets and enrich lives of pets and people.   Population growth, rising home prices, evictions and a shortage of affordable pet care caused animal intake to surge in 2025, as more than 25,000 animals entered the care of the Arizona Humane Society which is the most in over a decade. While the challenges facing Arizona’s pets and people continue to evolve, they remain committed to adapting and meeting these new demands. Their work never stops.
