We have an opening for an attorney with 10-15 years of recent Arizona experience in bad faith litigation and insurance coverage. The successful candidate will assist in the defense of insurers in bad faith and coverage litigation arising primarily from home, auto, and life insurance claims. The work will include review, analysis, and recommendations to the client; formulation of case plan; disclosure, discovery and depositions; and oral argument of motions, mediation, settlement and trial.

Insurance Litigation Paralegal
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented paralegal to join our legal team in our insurance coverage and bad faith insurance law department. In this role, you will provide essential support to attorneys in investigating, managing, and litigating cases.
The paralegal will work closely with firm attorneys and assist in all phases of litigation, which will include medical record chronologies, medical record summaries, summaries/table of information, discovery and/or disclosure document management, case related fact research, preparing first drafts of disclosure statements and discovery, interacting with clients and experts, utilizing drafting support software, and assisting and/or provide support for depositions, motions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, trials, and other court proceedings.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in gathering information, including correspondence, claim documents, and policy information.
- Prepare medical chronologies and medical summaries
- Prepare summaries and tables of information.
- Prepare first drafts of legal documents, such as disclosure statements and discovery requests.
- Communicate with clients, third-parties, and experts to gather information and coordinate case activities.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials by organizing relevant data, exhibits, and drafting summaries.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to ethical standards of the legal profession.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Certified Paralegal (CP) designation preferred.
- 2+ years of experience working as a paralegal, preferably in insurance defense, coverage, bad faith, or plaintiff representation.
- Recent experience with medical record review and preparation of summary and/or chronology
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation related to insurance law.
- Experience billing time contemporaneously and compliant with e-billing guidelines.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Perfect Law, I-manage.

- Understanding of legal research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters.
