For several years, Voices for CASA has held a holiday party for foster children who are supported through their programs. At this annual party, the kids get to select their own holiday gift from unwrapped toys. The pandemic has placed this party on hold for the last two years. We were excited that Voices was, once again, able to host the party. Employees from Jaburg Wilk shopped from a wish list and purchased toys for toddlers through teens. Legos, dolls, and even soccer balls! It was so much fun to overflow three giant boxes with more than 100 gifts.
Voices for CASA fills a very special need as they support foster children who have an advocate named through the Maricopa County Court Appointed Special Advocates – CASA. They bring a voice to Arizona’s children by promoting and supporting volunteer advocacy for children who have experienced abuse or neglect, and public awareness of the importance of safe and permanent homes for all children. VOICES is an affiliate of the National CASA Organization.
