Employees of Jaburg Wilk and their families decorated lunch bags with leaves, pumpkins, and lots of fun sayings to welcome fall. The bags were filled with nutritious snacks and quick protein bites for clients of the YWCA Meals on Wheels program in Glendale. Several years ago, it was discovered that the seniors were sharing their meals with their pets instead of eating it all themselves. When that happened, the YWCA started delivering food and treats for the senior’s pets to accompany their meal. In addition to the one hundred snack bags for people, our employees decorated seventy-five more bags for both cats and dogs. Those bags were filled with food, treats, and toys.
It was a great way for families to get involved! And, the day the bags were delivered, the YWCA was low on treats and food for cats, so they were immediately put to great use.
