Hygiene & Household Goods Drive for Refugees

PHOENIX, Ariz. (May 3, 2016)- During April 2016, the Phoenix law firm of Jaburg Wilk collected personal hygiene items to benefit Catholic Charities Community Services Bless Refugees program. This program was started in 1975 and continues to support thousands of refugees each year. Currently in Arizona there are more than 62,000 refugees many who arrived with just a suitcase.

In addition to boxes of donated supplies, the firm raised more than $1,400. They were able to purchase hundreds of hygiene items ranging from shampoo to toothpaste; paper goods ranging from toilet paper to paper towels and shopping carts of diapers.

The Refugee Program Coordinator at Catholic Charities Community Services stated, “The hygiene, houseware and cleaning supplies have already begun to have a positive impact in the lives of refugees. Because of your donations, refugees now have some added security and peace of mind, knowing they can pay their rent and meet their family’s most basic needs.”
