Jaburg Wilk was proud to be an advocate sponsor at the second annual Izakaya Night on November 12th at Heritage Square to benefit PLAN – Phoenix Legal Action Network. Founded in 2017, their work is focused providing legal services to immigrants. PLAN understands that the current legal system does not provide equitable access to justice and oppresses and excludes low-income communities of color. Plan’s mission is to facilitate systemic and institutional change that will yield long term results and work with our partners to advocate for it. Currently PLAN is focusing their efforts on providing free legal services to Afghanistan evacuees. Over 1,600 Afghans are expected to arrive in Arizona by March 2022.
