Jaburg Wilk employees celebrated Veterans Day by writing messages of support and gratitude in holiday and thank you cards to U.S. service members who are deployed overseas. Several employees took cards home so that their family members could add to the messages. Their goal was to have multiple messages in each card. Blue Star Moms sends the cards along with holiday stockings.
Blue Star Moms is a non-profit who supports both active duty military and veterans. The local chapter was established in 2009 and they continue as a strong organization of proud moms who have and have had children honorably service in the military.
