PHOENIX, Ariz. (7/5/2022) – Lauren L. Garner was selected by the Arizona State Bar Probate and Trust Section to receive the ELEANOR ter HORST Distinguished Service Award. The award recognizes an attorney or judicial officer who has demonstrated superior knowledge of probate and trust law and the willingness to share her knowledge with – and otherwise serve- the State Bar of Arizona, Arizona state courts and their judiciary, the Probate and Trust Section of the State Bar and the public.
Garner is a partner in the probate law department of Jaburg Wilk where she focuses her practice on probate and trust litigation and mediation. She is an Adjunct Professor at the ASU Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law focusing on probate law. Lauren is Arizona State Chair of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). She has held leadership positions at Arizona State Bar in the Probate and Trust Section and Elder Law, Mental Health and Special Needs Planning Section and at the Maricopa County Bar Association Estate Planning, Probate & Trust Section. She has been named as a Leader in AZ Business Magazine since 2019, Southwest Super Lawyer since 2015, Top 25 – 2019 Women Arizona Super Lawyers and a Best Lawyer since 2014, being named as a 2019 Best Lawyers – Lawyer of the Year for Trust and Estate Litigation.
