The insurance law department at Jaburg Wilk is expanding. We have an opening for an attorney with experience in construction defect litigation and insurance defense. The successful candidate will work directly with clients, adjusters and other insurance law attorneys at the firm in the defense of contractors and sub-contractors in construction defect claims. This position may be fully remote or work on a hybrid schedule.
Work includes file review, initial analysis and recommendations to client, legal research, formulation of case plans; drafting of pleadings, motions, disclosure statements and discovery; preparing witnesses for depositions and defending depositions, working with experts; attendance at settlement and mediation. Must be licensed in Arizona and in good standing
- At least 3 years recent insurance defense litigation preferably in construction defect
- Good negotiation skills
- Expertise using MS Office suite and DMS
- Comfortable with technology including use of databases
- Strong writing skills
- Experience with compliance with client guidelines relative to electronic billing requirements
