Nathan Meyer’s practice focuses on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, general liability litigation, commercial litigation, and professional liability litigation. Accordingly, Nate is a member of Jaburg Wilk’s commercial litigation, insurance coverage, and insurance defense practice groups.
Nate has been recognized as a “Southwest Super Lawyer,” since 2014. He is among only 5% of Arizona attorneys to receive this distinction. In 2012 and 2013, Nate was recognized as a “Super Lawyer Rising Star”, a distinction bestowed upon the best Arizona attorneys 40 or younger and awarded to no more than 2.5% of eligible attorneys. Nate received a “Preeminent AV” peer review rating, the highest attorney rating possible from Martindale-Hubbell.
It is Nate’s strong belief that early case analysis, accurate estimation of defense costs, frequent client communication, and honest recommendations are critical to effective legal representation and client satisfaction. The client must have all information early and updated often to determine whether to litigate a matter through mediation, arbitration, dispositive motions, or trial—or whether to make a business decision to settle a case early for, what can sometimes be, a fraction of defense fees and costs.
Achieving excellent results for his clients through creative arguments is something Nate prides himself on. As an example, he recently litigated and settled a quadriplegia claim against a global corporation with alleged clear liability for less than plaintiff’s estimate of future medical expenses and less than a third of plaintiff’s mediation demand. Nate achieved this favorable result by creating a scope of employment issue and arguing that the plaintiff assumed the risk of his catastrophic spinal injury by failing to wear a neck protector used by motocross riders.
Clients that Nate represents include insurance companies, insureds, lawyers, insurance agents, real estate agents, general contractors and other private businesses.
